End of October 2025 Update

HE’S HERE! He’s finally here!

The l-o-n-g wait is officially over! Judah Thomas Moyer, our grandson (who drove us nearly crazy with his dilly-dallying and lallygagging), finally emerged in his own sweet time on the last day of October at 9:09 pm, weighing 7lbs 3 ounces, and charming us all with his gorgeous hair and lung capacity. Of course (as nearly every new parent and grandparent feels), there has NEVER been a baby quite as magnificent as this one! Mother, Father, and two sets of adoring grandparents are sighing in relief and praising God for bringing about this longed-for miracle!

nd while missionary friends from many countries checked in daily for birth news, they’ve also reported on the Lord’s work. Here, in brief, are the highlights.

Dominican Republic: Pastor Jaime and his team hosted several short-term mission trips from the States, each intended to impact the Kingdom. Some mission teams are comprised of skilled workmen who build or complete the Haitian chapels; others have Bible teachers who can train up leaders and believers alike; and still others have children’s ministry workers who bring the Gospel to life for the little ones. As a result, these Haitian church plants continue to grow exponentially. Jaime’s mission house is continually full, with Jackie feeding them all with true Dominican fare.

Pakistan: After last month’s trip to hold a Youth Conference in Pakistan and the closely guarded foray into the Northern areas at the end of it, the women continue the ministry among other women. Remember, this is a heavily persecuted group, but the Gospel grows underground through groups such as this.

Thailand: Kingdom Missions, under the leadership of Noumaan Prince, has resumed bringing Burmese pastors (from M_______) across the border into Thailand for training on soul-winning, disciple making, and Bible study. These will be the trained leaders who go back into their war-torn motherland and spread the gospel through networks of home churches.

Cambodia: Pastor Soeuy Lak of AMG Cambodia continues to recruit, train, encourage, and supervise his team of church planters and Kids of Destiny children’s ministers as they go into unreached villages to start works. The children are attracted by the fun, games, stories, activities, and prizes, and become loyal attendees. Soon, their curious parents tag along to watch, begin to participate, and a church plant begins. It is amazing what fruit grows out of such a simple seed! Never despise small beginnings!

Phnom Penh, Cambodia: The entire Glory Church membership recently completed individual soul-winning training by Pastor Sun Sokha and Namsoon so they can live out the principle “Each One Reach One” in their own neighborhoods. This same couple is training pastors and leaders in six-week programs in other provinces on how to do the same with their churches: soul-winning and discipleship. As well as Pastor Rin Yame of Mercy House, they are sending out young teams to start Children’s Ministries in unreached villages, nurturing them until they grow into church plants. This method of evangelism, beginning with children, is peculiarly effective in this area.

M_______(Burma): Pastor Dorothy Myint, with her Children’s Rescue Home, continues her Herculean task of rescuing abused, abandoned, and orphaned children from the mountains, and raising and educating them to become Christian leaders in a country that desperately needs a moral compass. She continues to amaze us with her commitment, determination, and love for God and children. Year after year, she remains faithful to the cause and to her LORD.

And these are just a portion of those working to train soul-winners in various ways and countries. Thank you for your continued financial support of those missionaries carrying on in developing countries while we are here… missionaries who often surpass their teachers!

Peter and I were thrilled to be in Hawaii for Judah’s birth, and are reminded of our grandparenting mission; “We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done.” Psalm 78:4. Pray for us as we seek to discover the additional ministry opportunities God has planned for us here before we return to Asia.

“Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.” Psalm 71:18
